SoftRoster (softroster.com) is owned and operated by Latai Kamal. This page explains what personal data this site collects, why, and what you can do about it. There is no user account system on this site — nobody needs to register or log in to browse it.
What we collect, and why
We only collect data you actively type into one of the three forms on this site. We never track you to build a profile, and we never sell or rent personal data to anyone.
- Report an error (/report-an-error/): the page you’re reporting, what’s wrong, your correction, and — only if you choose to give it — an email address, used solely to tell you once it’s fixed.
- Write a review (on a tool’s own page): your name, star rating, written review, and — only if you choose to give it — your role or company. Reviews are moderated by hand before publishing; see our methodology.
- List your product (/list-your-product/): the product name, website, your contact email, and an optional short description. Used only to consider the submission.
Every form also has a hidden field (“honeypot”) that real visitors never fill in — it exists only to catch automated spam, and anything submitted through it is discarded immediately without being stored.
Legal basis
We process this data on the basis of consent (you choose to submit a form) and, for spam and abuse prevention (rate limiting by IP address, checked for a maximum of 30 days), legitimate interest in keeping the site’s forms usable for everyone.
How long we keep it
Submissions are kept as long as they’re useful to us: an error report or product suggestion until it’s actioned, a review indefinitely once published (as it becomes part of the public page), or until you ask us to remove it.
Who we share it with
Nobody. This site runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves, with no analytics service, advertising network, or third-party tracker installed. The only data that ever leaves this site is what a review itself is written to show publicly (your name, role/company if given, and your review) — never your email address, which is never published.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies to track visitors. The only cookies possible are WordPress’s own technical ones for the site owner’s login — visitors never receive one, since there is no visitor account system.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — including a published review or a submission. We aim to act on any request within 30 days. See “How to reach us” below.
