How we make money

We plan to earn money in one way only: commissions from software vendors whose affiliate programs accept us. When someone follows one of those links and buys, the vendor may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to the buyer.

We do not sell listings, placements, badges or “featured” spots, and we never will. A commission never changes what we write, how we sort, or which tools we include. Many tools on this site — HubSpot, Slack, Notion, Zapier and others — have no commercial relationship with us and are covered exactly like the rest.

How affiliate links are labelled

• A “Visit site” button only becomes an affiliate link once the vendor’s program has accepted us. Until then it is a plain link to the vendor’s official website.
• When a page contains an affiliate link, the sentence “Affiliate link — we may earn a commission” appears just before the button — never hidden in a tooltip, inside the button or only in the footer.
• Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow", so search engines know they are paid links.
